I had a brilliant Friday practice with our set-up from testing here a few weeks ago. I was happy to qualify just outside the top 10 in P12. However, it began to rain just after the start of race one and being on a dry set-up, we unfortunately dropped to P16.
Race two started off well, making places up to P8 until contact with another driver left us with a DNF.
It wasn’t the weekend we had planned for, but we’ve come away with further data and more race craft under the belt. Now all eyes are on next weekend at Brands Hatch for the second time this year!
One or two highlights to take away from Donington was certainly meeting Chris Hoy – thank you for the pic – and seeing Mathias Lauda and Freddie Hunt behind the wheel.
